Sterile Feral Foundation

The Sterile Feral Foundation (SFF) is an IRS 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization located in McLean County, Illinois dedicated to reducing the feral cat population in Central Illinois using the Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) method.

What we DO:

  • Spay/neuter trapped feral cats with the assistance of the participating veterinarians, which are then returned to their original area to be released.
  • Vaccinate for rabies and distemper.
  • Lend traps.
  • Offer advice to caretakers (colony managers) on the feral cat colony maintenance.
  • Require caretakers (colony managers) to register with the SFF  to request assistance with the TNR.

What we DO NOT DO:

  • SFF does not remove or relocate cats.
  • SFF does not accept or adopt cats.
